I noticed when on Google.com just before that it now has an Alexa rank of 1 when I am pretty sure that it was 2 not along ago (Yahoo.com originally was number 1). Although Alexa rank is generally not regarded as an accurate depiction of real traffic, it’s still pretty impressive because the lower you go on Alexa, the harder it gets to get a lower ranking.
I’m not sure how long Google has been in front now because I’ve never paid attention to Google’s ranking considering I was used to it being stagnant. It’s a sign that Google is growing and an insight into Alexa data for Yahoo.com suggests that it’s falling behind a little more each day.
I know it’s nothing overly interesting, just wondering if anyone has noticed the change and when it happened?

I hadn’t really noticed when it actually happened. But then these two sites have been constantly trying to out-place one another for the #1 spot. I guess Google being number one in Alexa ranking is fruit of their efforts to improve their services and provide for a useful and productive user experience.
